One of a Kind Wooden Chess Set

We took scrap wood laying around the shop and created this unique and rustic chess set. The dark and light stained squares on the 12.5"x 12.5" x2.5" board not all the same height. This is not a level playing field. The simple pieces are 1" x 1" with varying heights ranging from 1.5" (pawn) to 3" (king).

The Re-Used Relics in this Set

An old 7" x 5.5" x 4.5" cigar box was refinished and repurposed to hold the chess pieces.
